Dr. Emily Hand traveled to Canada in November, 2019 to speak on Ethics and Artificial Intelligence as a part of the US State Department Speaker Series. The Speaker Series aims to increase global knowledge sharing by sending area experts all over the world to talk about their work. She visited Durham College, Dawson College, the Autonomous Vehicle Innovation Network and École de Technologie Supérieure (ETS).
